Hand-turned wooden spindles, newel posts & stair partsMade in Yorkshire since 1995

Honley · Yorkshire · Est. 2007

Each spindle is hand-turned by Daniel Fitzpatrick himself, on traditional lathes in a small Honley workshop — the same craft passed down for generations, quietly kept alive.

From a single replacement piece for a Victorian terrace to four hundred matched balusters for a Knightsbridge restoration, every turning leaves the same workshop, by the same hands.

Bespoke commissions

Send us a sketch.
We'll turn the rest.

A pencil drawing on the back of an envelope is enough. A photograph of an existing profile is enough. We'll read it, draw the cutter, and turn the first sample for your approval before any volume work begins.

For matching jobs we can also visit to look at the existing woodwork in person, to make sure we match it perfectly.

  • Hand-drawn sketches welcome
  • Photos of existing profiles to match
  • On-site measurements for restorations
  • Sample piece turned before any volume run
